Aurora Softwash (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides exterior cleaning services, including pressure washing, soft washing, window cleaning, gutter cleaning, and related services. By requesting a quote, scheduling service, or allowing Aurora Softwash to perform work on your property, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

These terms are intended to ensure clear communication, protect both parties, and establish expectations regarding the services we provide.

 

Legally Binding Agreement

By approving an estimate or scheduling service with Aurora Softwash, you agree to a legally binding agreement for the services described in the estimate at the agreed-upon price.

Any deposits paid are non-refundable if the agreement is cancelled by the client after scheduling has occurred.

Scheduling and Weather

Exterior cleaning services are highly dependent on weather conditions. Aurora Softwash reserves the right to adjust or reschedule appointments due to weather, safety concerns, equipment issues, or other unforeseen circumstances.

If a schedule change becomes necessary, we will notify you as soon as possible and work to reschedule your service at the next available opportunity.

Cancellation and Same-Day Cancellation Policy

We understand that unexpected situations can arise, and we will always do our best to be flexible.

However, because your appointment time is reserved specifically for your project, the following policy applies:

• Cancellations made the same day as the scheduled service may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to $100.
• This fee will be waived if the service is rescheduled within a reasonable time frame.

If Aurora Softwash arrives at the property as scheduled and the customer requests cancellation or refuses service at that time, the same-day cancellation fee may apply.

This policy helps compensate for travel time, labor scheduling, and lost appointment opportunities.

Access to Property

The customer is responsible for ensuring Aurora Softwash has clear access to the areas being serviced at the scheduled time.

This includes:

• Unlocking gates if necessary
• Providing access to exterior water spigots if required
• Securing pets inside the home
• Ensuring vehicles are moved from driveways or work areas

If we arrive on site and are unable to access the work areas, additional fees or rescheduling may apply.

Water Usage

By scheduling service, you agree to provide Aurora Softwash permission to use an exterior water source at the property if necessary to perform the work.

The customer is responsible for ensuring the water supply is turned on and functioning properly before the scheduled appointment.

If water access is unavailable, additional charges may apply, or the service may need to be rescheduled.

Electrical Usage

If electrical power is required for the service being performed, the customer agrees to provide access to a suitable exterior electrical outlet.

Removal of Items from Work Areas

The customer is responsible for removing or relocating items from surfaces being cleaned prior to our arrival.

This includes but is not limited to:

• Vehicles
• Patio furniture
• Grills
• Planters
• Decorations
• Other personal items

Aurora Softwash may move light items if necessary, but is not responsible for damage related to moving or relocating customer property.

If excessive items must be moved by our team, additional labor charges may apply.

Pre-Existing Damage and Property Conditions

Aurora Softwash is not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing conditions including but not limited to:

• Loose siding
• Loose shingles
• Failing caulking or sealant
• Wood rot
• Cracked mortar
• Improperly sealed windows or doors
• Aging or deteriorated building materials

Exterior cleaning may reveal or expose issues that were previously hidden by dirt, mold, mildew, or oxidation.

Oxidation and Fading

Many exterior surfaces, such as vinyl siding, aluminum siding, and painted surfaces naturally oxidize over time due to sun exposure.

Cleaning these surfaces may remove oxidized material and reveal fading or discoloration that was previously hidden.

Aurora Softwash is not responsible for oxidation-related discoloration or color inconsistencies revealed during cleaning.

Stains That Cannot Be Removed

Some stains cannot be removed through standard exterior cleaning methods.

Examples may include:

• Rust stains
• Artillery fungus
• Paint or stain overspray
• Deep oil stains
• Tree sap
• Permanent mineral staining

While we always strive to improve the appearance of surfaces, the complete removal of certain stains cannot be guaranteed.

Concrete and Surface Variations

The appearance of concrete and other hard surfaces can vary significantly depending on age, curing conditions, and prior maintenance.

Cleaning concrete may reveal imperfections such as:

• Aggregate exposure
• Color variations
• Previous repairs
• Surface etching
• Stains embedded in the surface

Aurora Softwash cannot guarantee a uniform appearance across concrete surfaces after cleaning.

Window Spotting

Exterior cleaning may result in temporary spotting on windows due to mineral content in water or runoff from surrounding surfaces.

Professional window cleaning is not included unless specifically stated in the estimate.

Safety and Courtesy

For safety reasons, the customer agrees to keep children, pets, and other individuals away from the work area while services are being performed.

Recently cleaned surfaces may remain wet or slippery for a short period of time after service is completed.

Payment Terms

Payment for services is due upon completion unless otherwise stated in writing.

Aurora Softwash accepts multiple payment methods, including credit card, debit card, check, or other approved payment methods.

Invoices not paid within the agreed payment terms may be subject to late fees and collection costs.

Marketing and Media Use

The client grants Aurora Softwash permission to photograph or record images of the property for documentation, marketing, and promotional purposes.

These images may be used in marketing materials, advertisements, social media, or on our website. Personal identifying information, such as names or addresses, will not be published without permission.

Christmas Light Installation and Leasing

Aurora Softwash offers a Christmas Light Leasing Program, which includes design, installation, maintenance, removal, and storage of holiday lighting.

All lighting materials remain the property of Aurora Softwash.

Clients agree not to remove, tamper with, or modify installed lighting materials.

Installation, maintenance, and removal schedules may be adjusted due to weather or safety concerns.

Removal typically begins on or after January 2nd.

Maintenance services are provided through December 23rd each season.

Changes to These Terms

Aurora Softwash reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with the revised date.
